For his dissertation entitled „High-precision soft X-ray transition measurements of neon-like mid-Z ions using ultra monochromatic synchrotron radiation“, on 15 July 2024 Dr. Steffen Kühn has been awarded the Otto Haxel Dissertation (Rank 1). He did his work in the José Crespo's group in Thomas Pfeifer's division at MPIK.
The Otto Haxel Award for Physics has been granted since 2017 by the KIT Freundeskreis und Fördergesellschaft e.V. in cooperation with the German Physical Society for the three best dissertations in physics at the Universities of Göttingen and Heidelberg and at KIT, Otto Haxel's three places of work.
